ARTISTS
Madeline Balser
Madeline loves being around nature, seeing animals and finding peace in the outdoors. She believes there is a lot of inspiration to be found in the environment around us.

She greatly enjoys using different mediums to create, watercolors being one of the most enjoyable wet mediums for blending. She finds painting to be about having fun while centering focus to create something you enjoy. As an old mentor once told her, an artist can never make a mistake!

Madeline Balser is available for private bookings

Private booking offered, Availability varies, I would love for you to contact me for private booking!

Title or Location: Pilot Mountain
Pilot Mountain is a special place to me in North Carolina. In the past it was a guiding landmark for the indigenous peoples and early settlers. I enjoy painting the mountain often. I was experimenting with Winsor and Newton granulation medium for the first time and really like the texture created by adding to a mixture of paint which I used on the group of trees in the foreground.. The painting is on Arches 140lb rough 10x14 paper.

Title or Location: Not Changing My Spots
I am fascinated by Dalmatians. Born completely white, their first spots appear within 10 days. The ongoing debate surrounding their origin adds to their mystique and to my interest. Once prized as noble carriage dogs, they are now know for their athleticism, watchfulness and endurance. Inspiration - Louise De Masi.

Title or Location: The Dress
She was a personal challenge. I used a magazine ad as my model for the overall stance and glance over the shoulder. The rest was pure imagination. I styled her dress after the 50?s style of dresses with tulle and crinolines. I?ve always loved those dresses! She was painted with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors on Canson paper.
